Everything for the Mini Maxx V2 in one place: how it goes in, what to do when something is wrong, and the current firmware.

Installation

A delete-only tuner for off-road, race and agricultural use. You need a battery charger supplying at least 10A steady, and no emissions-related codes on the dash before you start.

Four steps: connect the charger and the tuner, start the engine and check for codes, remove the DEF, DPF and SCR exhaust section, then remove or disconnect the EGR. 2018 and newer RAMs also need bypass cable #42215.

Known errors

Reported issues and their fixes, grouped by platform. Covers boost drop-off on 2013 to 2021 RAM, the P040D code on 2018 and newer RAM, P24C6 and P24DA on 2011 and newer Powerstroke, the 2016 Ford P04E3 fix file, and dual fuel tank limits on LML trucks.

The V2 does not support factory pyrometer or EGT probes on any vehicle. Unplug them all.

Firmware updates

Current release is version 2.0.0.6, from November 2023. Updates are for the V2 only; do not use them on a V1.

You need a Windows PC, the included USB adapter and the SD card from the tuner. The card must be named MINI MAXX and formatted FAT.

Compatibility

Coverage tables for Ford Powerstroke, GM Duramax and RAM Cummins, with the caveats that apply to each model year.
